Roco Pecora and Tim King are the new coaches for the U-14 age group. The news came after Scott Shaw announced his retirement on Monday October 22nd, 2007. Coach Scott has been with the team for 4 years. He fells that, at this point, the kids need a new direction and leader ship. Coach Scott will continue with the club behind the scene as needed.
 
Players club has affiliated with TARSA, an recreational league that schedule games for travel recreational teams.
This will give our recreational players an opportunity to compete with other organization around the bay area.
 
PLAYERS CLUB TEAM U-18 coached by Rocco Pecora is granted to play for USA division one. Many of this athletes have been together since they were 7 years old. There accomplishments include many national tournaments and international exposure. " Coach King and myself are both proud an honor to have this group of kids represent The Players Club at the highest  level. They Train very hard and intend to be an elite team in their age group."
 
 
PLAYERS CLUB WELCOMES DEREK HARRINGTON!           
For a good while, the Players Club was seeking for a D O C, who would share the same ideas and love for the game as it's  founder Romildo Sanches has.                                                                                                   
We finally came across Derek Harrington, a native of New Zealand with many years of experience as a soccer coach.

Derek Harrington Played for the New Zealand Youth National Team before moving to England where he was signed as a youth player with Crystal Palace F C.  Later he became an apprentice professional with Crystal Palace.

After an knee injure, Derek Harrington went on to play for Bedford College, where he helped his team win the  Nationals in 1990/91.  After receiving his degree in Education, Sports Psychology and his F A badge, he moved to United State seeking for a change.

Derek Harrington has coached at Creighton University, Clemson University and Stanford University. He is currently the varsity head  boy’s coach at Shorecrest Preparatory school, where he also teach. In addition to that, Derek Harrington  is on Florida Youth Soccer Association staff for  for the past six years.

Derek Harrington's  coaching influences, inclusive of his father, include Terry Venables who signed him as a young player.  Malcom Allison, Dario Gradi and George Graham, all coaches with Crystal Palace at the time.

 Derek Harrinton currently hold a National License and look forward to expanding his coaching qualifications.

ACADEMY STYLE: The Players club will be, for the following season,  adapting academy style of train for the younger age group. The 2007 - 2008 soccer season, we will be as following:
 
U-8 age groups: We will be looking for 10 players that will get special skill based technical training and that will be enrolled in the development U8 group of the USA League.
 
U 9 and U-10 age groups: We will be looking for 16-17 players in each age group that will train together in an academy style.  Two teams will be enrolled in the USA League, one team in the most competitive group available and the other two teams in the next most competitive group available.  Rosters will be flexible to allow movement and playing opportunities in both groups based  on player development through out the year.

U 11 and U-12 age groups: We will be looking for 10-12 players in each age group that will train together in an academy style.  The teams will be enrolled in the USA League. The U-11 players may have an opportunity to play up for the U-12 team as needed.

 
 
BRAZILIAN PRO COACH VISITS PLAYERS CLUB: Wantuil Rodrigues from Cruzeiro Esporte Clube visit the club for two weeks. while in town, Rodrigues spend time with the coaches lecturing the evolution of the Brazilian soccer and on Sunday, 11/19/06 he spent time with our players on the field running many different drills to improve coordination and ball handling. Coaches, parents and players were very excited about they way he conduct the training.
 
PLAYERS CLUB FINALLY GETS RESTROOMS: It only took 6 1/2 years, over 10,000 petition and over 1000 phone calls for the county officials to delivery a restrooms at the Heather lakes soccer complex. know with the restrooms in place, and the club house on it's way, the club will work on its staff. The very next thing now is to bring a respectful DOC to direct our club.
 
HEATHER LAKES SOCCER COMPLEX TO GET MORE IMPROVEMENTS:  Due to the  growth of our program, Players Club is up grading its facility. For the 2006 - 2007 seasson, the club is adding a new soccer field for the 8 - 12 years old  kids, bathrooms and an office trailer with concession stand. 
 
 
Players club U-9 teams: coached by Brendan McCarffety ls, expected to do well this coming season. They were alble to form two U-9 teams, gold and blue. Parents and coaches are very excited about the new adventure. We hope they enjoy the competitive side of soccer and develop a passion for the game.
 
Players Club welcome the U-11 and U-12 Girl's team: The Players Club is no longer for boy! our girls department is taken off and its looks like nothing will stop it. For years, people though the club was for boy's only, however, with more and more girls join the club, we were able to increase the numbers of girls team from 1 to 3 teams for the up coming season.
 
PCTB U-12 GOLD coached by Dan Schlandt won the Braden River Halloween soccer tournament. They finished first on their bracket by beating HCU, Central Pasco and Branden River moving to the final to face Naples Sharks. The final game was tied 3-3 and the Eagles won 3 -1 on penalty kicks.
 
PCTB U-12 BLUE

PCTB U-13 boys team, coached by Scott Shaw and Franz Girok won the Region C cup over Central Pasco. The Eagles went on to represent the region c-1 on the Hackworth Davis state cup and lost to a strong team from South Florida in the final. The boys had a great 05/06 season with a record of  nine straight postseason games victory. In addition they finished 2nd on the USA league and won the West Pasco Labor day soccer tournament. PCTB U-16 Girls: coached by Edmar Amaral and Alex Mendoza will have a chance to be on the division l for the USA league.
 
PCTB U-16 Boy's team coached by Dale Peterson took the first place at Florida  state cup. In addition to that, they finished 2nd on Disney show case soccer tournament hosted by Adidas. The huge success of the team last season atract even more great players to the team. They are expected to perform at the Dallas cup.
 
PCTB U-17: boy's team coached by Davi Gardow is getting ready for its season.
 
The Players old timers managed by Robert Dwyer is back training every Sunday for the league. The team will compete on the div. ll. In addition, they will participate on the league cup as well as the div. cup.
